What is a "light switch"?

Internet Multi Feed Co., Ltd., a pioneer in the internet data center (iDC) business in Japan, started its Multi Feed service in 1997, and continues to provide essential infrastructure for today's internet society, including public time information services and the transix service which provides high-quality IPv6 internet connectivity.

In particular, the Internet Interconnection (IX) service "JPNAP" provides a platform for internet service providers such as ISPs (Internet Service Providers), ICPs (Internet Content Providers), and CATV to connect with each other, boasting the largest traffic volume in Japan and one of the highest in the world.

The company has introduced the "NSW series" optical switch unit, jointly developed with NTT-AT, into the network supporting "JPNAP".
