Features of HIREC

Overwhelming water repellency

On a HIREC coated surface, water droplets maintain an almost spherical shape, demonstrating super water repellency to the point that they cannot remain in place.

Self-cleaning function using photocatalyst

HIREC100, HIREC1100, and HIREC300-W have a self-cleaning function due to the photocatalytic effect.

Dust and dirt present in the air will adhere to Super hydrophobic and generally cause water repellency to gradually decrease. In addition, the ultraviolet rays contained in sunlight will cause the coating surface to deteriorate, which will also cause water repellency to decrease.

On the other hand, the HIREC series contains photocatalytic materials that, even if dirt adheres to the surface, exhibit a self-cleaning function when exposed to sunlight, revealing a new, water repellency repellent surface.

The period during which the super water repellency is maintained varies depending on the usage environment, etc., so we cannot guarantee the period during which performance is maintained.
