Yuzawa Town is known as the setting for the novel "Snow Country" and is also known for its large number of skiers. The HIREC100 was used for the antenna of the Yuzawa Toei Hotel, which is located on a hill in Yuzawa Town.

Generally, when receiving satellite broadcasts, torrential rain or heavy snow can cause the image to become distorted. We are constantly working to maintain our broadcasting service and ensure the satisfaction of our subscribers, even in bad weather.
In order to further improve the broadcast quality we provide to our customers, we have adopted HIREC as a measure to prevent snow and ice from accumulating on the surface of our large receiving parabolic antenna.
After applying HIREC to the parabolic antenna, radio wave attenuation during rain and snowfall was reduced, and the difference in effectiveness compared to before application was clearly evident.

Other application examples
HIREC's water repellency makes it highly effective at preventing water buildup on radars, antennas, and radomes, and is also highly effective at preventing snow and ice buildup on equipment in snowy and frozen areas.
Airport induction antenna
Although snow may not fall off HIREC-treated surfaces unless the slope is very steep, ice and snow do not adhere to them, so cleaning takes very little time.

Anemometers do not function properly if they are covered with ice or snow. HIREC construction prevents the accumulation of such ice and snow.
