PFAS-free HIREC series
Mainly for indoor use. One-coat type super hydrophobic coating!
The PFAS-free HIREC® series is a new super hydrophobic coating that does not contain PFAS.
Due to their high chemical stability and excellent water repellency, organofluorine compounds (PFAS) have been widely used in many industries for many years.
However, in recent years, concerns have arisen regarding its long-term persistence in the natural environment and the human body, and international discussions on regulation are progressing.

Features
- Fluorine-super hydrophobic coating that complies with PFAS regulations
- The initial contact angle of water is over 150 degrees (super water repellency equivalent to other HIREC series)
- We offer both a water-based product (HIREC PFW9) that is easy to handle, store, and transport, and a solvent-based product (HIREC PFS10) that dries quickly and is highly durable.
- Effective in reducing the adhesion of not only water and rain but also snow and ice
- Compared to conventional HIREC (HIREC450), light transmittance has been significantly improved (visible light transmittance increased from approximately 5% to approximately 40%).

*1 Light transmittance is the transmittance in the visible light range when painted with our recommended film thickness (15 μm). This is not a guaranteed value.
*2 Self-cleaning function is a feature designed to prevent a decrease in water repellency due to the accumulation of dirt such as dust and grime from the atmosphere.
This is HIREC's unique self-cleaning function. It is included in the conventional HIREC-R and HIREC-RAS models.
