HIREC-R

super hydrophobic coating with anti-fouling properties. Outdoor life is approximately 3 years!

The HIREC100 has been reborn as the HIREC-R!

While typical fluoropolymer coatings have a "water contact angle" of around 100 degrees, indicating good water repellency, HIREC boasts an exceptionally high initial contact angle of over 150 degrees. As a result, surfaces treated with HIREC repel water and remain dry, meaning that water film formation is less likely to occur.

However, dust and dirt are present in the atmosphere, and as these adhere to Super hydrophobic, water repellency generally gradually deteriorates. In addition, ultraviolet rays contained in sunlight cause the paint film to deteriorate, which also reduces water repellency.
HIREC 100

Like "HIREC100," "HIREC-R" contains photocatalytic materials that, when exposed to sunlight, self-clean and reveal a new water repellency even if dirt adheres to it. This function is expected to maintain the super water repellency water repellency paint, without the need for manual cleaning *, helping to reduce the cost of repainting work associated with deterioration of performance.

In addition to preventing water, it is also effective in preventing ice and snow accumulation, making it suitable for use in a wide range of fields, including antennas, radars, bridges, steel towers, power stations, railways, and buildings, for the safety and maintenance of outdoor equipment.

*This is the expected period for our recommended film thickness (approximately 30μm). The period during which the super water repellency will be maintained varies depending on the usage environment, etc., so we do not guarantee the period during which the performance will be maintained.
