Highly reflective heat-shielding paint SurfCool W

A water-based heat-shielding paint that can be used in environments where odors and organic solvents are undesirable

"SurfCool W" is a water-based heat-shielding paint that is diluted with water instead of organic solvents (thinner).
It is ideal for places such as restaurants, stores, and residential areas where you want to reduce the smell of thinner, places where organic solvents cannot be used, and places where care must be taken when handling fire.
The two-layer structure of top coat and primer coat reflects near-infrared light more efficiently than general paints, which helps to suppress temperature rises on the painted surface and inside the structure.

It can be applied to a wide range of substrates, including metal and resin.

"SurfCool W" can be applied not only to metal substrates such as steel plates and aluminum, but also to resin substrates. Because it is water-based, it is safe and does not easily damage the substrate.

In the case of general paint, sunlight is converted into heat, causing internal temperatures to rise, which can lead to equipment failure and increased air conditioning power consumption.
SurfCool W reflects sunlight that turns into heat, which helps prevent equipment breakdowns and reduces air conditioning power consumption (it does not block internal heat dissipation).

For asphalt and concrete substrates, we offer "SurfCool R."

Example of heat-shielding effect

A lamp was shone on plates coated with SurfCool W and general paint, and the temperature rise was observed.

Looking at the thermograph, the part of the plate coated with SurfCool W shows yellow, while the part coated with regular paint shows red, indicating high heat, clearly showing the temperature difference.
