"SurfCool R" is a highly reflective heat-shielding paint that uses special pigments that efficiently reflect sunlight's near-infrared rays (heat rays).
Moreover, it is an environmentally friendly water-based paint that can be easily applied using a brush or roller.
By painting it on pavement or rooftops, it can help mitigate the temperature rise caused by scorching sunlight, making it a product that can also help mitigate the heat island effect.

Construction example
Example of NTT Laboratories parking lot
- When comparing SurfCool R painted area with an unpainted asphalt surface, a temperature reduction effect of more than 10°C is observed.
- Compared to regular paint of the same color as SurfCool R, the temperature is reduced by about 7°C.
NTT Laboratories: Example of a rooftop chemical storage facility
- When comparing SurfCool R painted area with the unpainted area, a temperature reduction effect of up to approximately 12°C was observed, with an overall temperature reduction of approximately 10°C.
- As a result of measuring the temperature directly under the ceiling of the painted and unpainted parts of the chemical cabinet, the temperature of the painted part on the left side and the temperature of the unpainted part on the right side were almost the same before painting. In fine weather, the room temperature of the painted part on the left is 2-3°C lower than that of the unpainted part.
