Interlocking type base unit
Model NSW-BU-02-L
Features of the inter-device linking base unit
Interlocking switching function
Interlocking optical switch switching across multiple media
Optical switches mounted on the base unit NSW-BU-02-L connected with a dedicated cable can be grouped together, enabling linked switching of the optical switches across devices.
In a link aggregation configuration, which bundles multiple lines together and treats them as a single logical link, even if the number of lines to be bundled increases, it is possible to accommodate the lines across devices and perform interlocked switching using optical switches.
Optical switch switching simultaneity
Ensures simultaneous switching of optical switches, enabling risk-free switching
In the case of a link aggregation configuration, if the switching timing of each line differs, the impact must be considered.
The dedicated cable for this device is assigned an "optical switch command dedicated line" that transmits optical switch command to each device at high speed.
This mechanism ensures simultaneous optical switch switching across devices, enabling risk-free switching.
Rich user interface
Seamless status management is achieved by displaying the optical switch status at a glance
The status of all optical switches installed in base units connected via dedicated cables is displayed in a list. The base unit NSW-BU-02-L exchanges information in the background between devices connected via dedicated cables, so no matter which base unit you log in to, you can seamlessly display the status of all optical switches installed in other devices.

Automatic recognition of equipment addition/removal
Supports expansion up to 8 units (optical switch 128 channels) without interrupting operation
The NSW-BU-02-L base unit automatically recognizes additions and deletions. If you need to add more base units due to an increase in the number of lines accommodated, you can add up to eight units (128 optical switch channels) without interrupting operation.
