MAX / WIZ series



To ensure a stable and correct connection of optical connectors, the contacting end faces must have the appropriate shape, so precise measurement of the end face shape is essential.
The MAX/WIZ series optical connector end face 3D shape measurement system is a non-contact interference microscope that complies with IEC international standards and automatically measures the end face shape of single-fiber and multi-fiber connectors.
In addition to its high measurement accuracy and ease of use, its compact body and speedy measurement enable improved work quality at optical connector manufacturing sites.
* For measurement, a separate PC and a mounting jig according to the connector type are required. Please check the following operating environment for the operating environment of the PC.

Compact and lightweight housing
The housing has a compact design that can be installed in a smaller space than a B4 notebook, and weighs less than 4kg *, making it easy to carry.

A wide range of mounting fixtures

The mount jig is interchangeable, so it is possible to measure not only standard optical connectors such as SC, LC, and FC, but also special optical connectors such as E2000 and MIL-ST.In addition, the MAX/WIZ series allows connectors to be attached with one touch, making setup even smoother.
No vibration isolation table required
Since the housing has been carefully vibration-isolated, there is no need for an anti-vibration table, and it can be installed anywhere.
No setup required
Due to the use of precision ground mounting jigs, there is almost no need for adjustment work such as troublesome calibration.
AF (autofocus) function
The MAX and WIZ series have a built-in AF function, which eliminates the need to manually focus for each measurement, making work more efficient.
High reproducibility in multi-core measurements
Sumix's unique latest technology SideView (measures the angle of the guide pin from the side) enables even higher accuracy and reproducibility of measurement. In addition, since there is no need to hold down the connector and it is possible to fix the connector only by inserting the butt, it is easy to incorporate into an automated line.

Functions and features of shape measurement software [MaxInspect]
Easy-to-use interface
The interface is iconized for each function, allowing intuitive operation. In addition to the standard Japanese manual, NTT-AT 's own simplified manual is also included, so even first-time users will not get lost in operation.

Designed for mass production
It is equipped with functions ideal for quality inspection in mass production processes, such as simple display settings (express mode) and hands-free measurement using a foot pedal switch.* It is also possible to customize the operating environment according to the user, such as setting an operator-only mode in which pass/fail criteria cannot be changed.
*The foot pedal switch is optional.
Enhanced report output function
Shape measurement results and automatic flaw judgment results can be output and saved in PDF, HTML, and Excel formats. In addition, the maximum, minimum, average, and deviation of each measurement data are automatically calculated and can be output in summary format, so there is no need to newly calculate them.
Automatic scratch detection function
During end-face shape measurement, an image of the optical connector end face is captured, and scratches, dirt, chips, etc., are detected and identified through image analysis, enabling automatic pass/fail determination. End-face scratch inspection and end-face shape measurement, which were previously separate processes, can now be performed simultaneously with a single MAX series unit, contributing to a reduction in the number of processes and shortening of process time.
* WIZ-QS-112/MAX-QM-H are not supported.
